I remember calling out Vermalen, Walcott, Jenkings and others on here years ago.
Ive been moaning to friends about Giroud for years too.

Conversely, I was shocked he didn't recognize Koshelney' s talent for a few years and can't understand how he didn't build a midfield around the Ox and Jack or how he let Campbell go and plays Iwobi so infrequently.

Alexis Sanchez, constantly giving the ball away, together with Ozil, who only plays when he has the ball, lazy Giroud, who never runs back and Theo, who you wouldn't want to, have made the defense look worse than it actually is, playing with cover.

I think the new signing will be as frustrated as Lacesete (sp).

You can't deny his past but his future seems destined only to put Arsenal in further decline.

Trouble is Ed, is that HE'S still the manager and you or me are not

The Arsenal fan is more fickle than a Blind lesbian in a Fish Factory.
3 FA Cups, the club not in debt for decades (remember Leeds???)
So, Wenger spends 800 Million on top players.
You honestly think the players already there will play for half the salary of the panic buys.

Are we REALLY in the age of Supermarket Managing
Dont like the striker so spend 120 Million on the most available OTHER striker

regardless of what wenger thinks, what do you think of having sven mislintat and raul sanllehi on board and working these deals? credited with recruiting talent for dortmund and as an expert closer for barcelona.

Never got time for the other post...

Football has developed in line with the inevitable effects of capitalism. The big eat up the small.

All the main leagues in Europe were decided by the New Year.
This pretty much shows that money wins over developmentand that the Academy model and developmental managers are a thing of the past, at the very top level.

Arsenal' s decline is a product of Wenger's developmental philosophy.

There is no room for bleeding of talented kids anymore. That can happen at lower clubs but those wanting to win anything must buy ready made players and fight money with money.

Arsenal Wenger is not tactically astute. He will fail in this money war game because he doesn't have a game plan.

When Leicester looked like they were a reason to believe that money didn't matter all teams except Arsenal and Spurs were in a transition and as such were not set up to stop the simple game plan Leicester were following. Last year Chel6 did the same, with 3 at the back.

All you have to do in the modern era is pick a system and have the money to fund better and better players to plat it.

Wenger has great players but they cannot work without a clear playing system. AND, in his case a defensive shape and system outlined for when his attack minded players give the ball away.

Yesterday against Spurs he played his too money signings left a.d right and put Iwobi centre...Are you kidding me?
