Hello All.

I have served nearly four years of a self imposed sentence, banning myself from these forums. But, I am back (for how long I don't know) and I need help!!

I must admit I did pop in and have a browse from time to time so I know, thanks to Greg and the excellent standard of the posters, that this is the best one.

I am going to start off easy by simply asking if anyone fancies a game.

I will take a U12 and U15 side over to England in the summer for The Arsenal Soccer Festival (July 30th-Aug 8) and will be looking for some matches outside of the tournament.

We will be based at The Royal Holloway College in Egham and have access to the pitches there from morning til early afternoon. So if anyone fancies coming over.....

We will also go to my home town of Cambridge for matches and a drop of culture and to Highbury, London and Windsor.

I do not know the exact dates of our tournament games as yet and will obviously need to plan my itinerary around this but if anyone wants to discuss the possibility of game I am open to all suggestions.

With Ed back, now we just need WvH, HC and a few other suspects.

Welcome back Ed. The following summer think about coming the U.S.

No takers for the match though, huh?

Come on you guys, you all know who is from where, right?

Who should I be trying to find.

Kev, I was sure you would be on the case.

Good to read your name here, Ed!

I would love my U12's to play, but we are a few thousand miles too far west.   Maybe another time.

I do not recall an English team of that age represented here, though I may have just not paid close enough attention.  I am sure kev may be able to help, though.

Hi Ed,

This link may help you, http://www.yellowjersey.co.uk  Click on Surrey in the second line. There you will find two youth leagues, Epsom & Ewell Youth League and Premier & Primary Football League. These leagues have various age groups and you will find contact information if you check out the teams. If you cannot find individual team contacts you will definatly find the leagues contacts and these will help you. http://www.surreyfa.co.uk may also be able to help

Before you arrange a game make sure of the opposing teams standard and make sure you are covered by insurance.

Thanks GA, I will give those contacts a whirl.

Jim, mate, you are going to have to wait. I am coming for you later so stop trying to side track me.

As an avid ex-risk player the dangers of fighting on more than two continents at a time are not lost on me, pal.

I have so far managed to get my way through the HK area relatively unscathed, despite enormous odds ( as KTK will testify).

Obviously from there I have had to conquer the rest of Asia- no problem!!

So, of course now the next move is obviously to continue west.

I liked your cunning attempt at a deflective strategy- trying to get me to redeploy in the Americas- but it is not going to work.

When one sets out for world domination one should not let any sweet talking American divert him from his inevitable destiny.

OK, you caught me, I was trying to get you to stretch your resources thin.

Good luck, and hope you have a great trip.

Hoy,

Haveit is a bit aggressive for you, mate isn't it?

I bet when you were chosing names you had a tough time between Haveit, Havesome and maybe Getitthere. I bet the suffix son was also considered, as in: Goonson? Nah, that sounds too Arsenal that one, huh.

Jim, how was the S of F? Did you visit my doughnut selling beaches?

Ed, it was wonderful.  No doughnuts to be seen though, the water was still a bit cold, and the temp only around 16 or 17.  Nice, but clearly nothing was really in full summer swing.  It was every bit the trip I wanted, for all of us, and I sure hope to do it again sometime!

Here is a shot of the city we stayed in.  Awesome, like you said it would be.
